Managing Director’s Biography
Our Managing Director - Tony Vince - graduated from Lancaster University a long time ago with a IIi degree in Economics, Accounting and French. This isn’t the place to explain the French element.
He joined the international insurance brokers Willis on their graduate trainee scheme, studying for the Chartered Management Accountant qualification. In 1987 he passed his finals, with a 1st place prize and remains a member (ACMA) today.
After working for the Barclays’ Head Office Planning department from 1988 to 1991 (in the days when banks were still banks), Tony joined Provincial Insurance, which was then the largest privately owned general insurance company in Europe. Tony spent 10 years with Provincial, and was closely involved in its evolution from a private company, through various acquisitions, to a spell as a FTSE-100 listed company prior to its eventual acquisition by AXA.
Tony acquired huge experience with Provincial, spanning financial analysis and planning, business acquisition and integration, process re-engineering, IT systems selection, design and implementation, data warehousing, management information and business intelligence. His roles included Planning & Information Manager, Enterprise Programme Implementation Manager and CIO. Tony left AXA in 2001, and after a brief spell of independent MI consulting with Oracle, joined Norwich Union in 2002, helping to establish the Change function during his role as Head of Change Management.
In 2004, Tony left Norwich Union to work independently. An initial 4-week consulting assignment turned into an 18 month interim CIO role for the software house insurecom. On completion of that assignment, Tony formally established Delivery Consulting in 2006 to provide specialist change and project management services to an impressive and wide variety of clients, including most of the recognised companies in the insurance sector.
Tony lives in Suffolk, with his wife, numerous dogs, and slightly more numerous guitars (some of which he has built himself).
